Internet Income . . . Sensibly

“Get Paid to….” Take surveys, read email, fill out forms, work at home . . . Don’t be embarrassed. I have done this too.

Amazingly, back in 1998, a lot of those types of membership sites were free to join. Now “Paid to Take Surveys” all offer membership access to their list of survey companies for anywhere between $19.95 and $49.95. And half of them charge you, when they actually get credit for you to sign up with these companies . . . a percentage of what you earn filling out these forms.

The other drawback from joining these sites is tons of advertisements emailed to you. By filling out these forms and surveys, you in essence, are becoming a lead . . . and your information is getting sold again and again and again. There is some inconvenience to expect, since they are after all, paying you to give them this information. It’s not such a bad deal.

I have done the “Get Paid for Your Opinion” memberships. Most of my income I’ve received online has been through Affiliate Marketing and selling advertising space on my sites. The percentage of what I make through Affiliate Marketing dwarfs anything I’ve ever earned filling out surveys, with a lot less email ads to put up with.

Those of you looking to either break into the “Internet Income” era, or just looking to finally getting your first sizable check should consider a few things.

1. Getting paid to fill out surveys does not pay the money you first read about, unless you are also recruiting a lot of other folks to earn a percentage of their income. I have never seen one $75.00 valued survey come into my email.

2. There are other ways in internet marketing that are much easier and less time consuming to earn good money. And I’m not talking about Ebay or Network Marketing.

3. There are companies out there that have really fantastic resources for seeking out legitimate income generators for you. Some will give you access to this for free, some will charge.

The best information I have ever found, I’ve found on my own. Some that are not heavily advertised are sometimes your best sources for income . . . because not everyone knows about or is using them. Therefore you don’t have thousands of other folks trying to accomplish the same things at your expense.

Here are some areas where there is room for you to grab your income:

Partnerships:

Working out a partnership with an email list owner such as an ezine, newsletter or membership site owner. If you can negotiate a good percentage of your sales with them, they may not charge you at all to use their mailing list. If you are not sure what you want to sell, not sure if you even WANT to sell, try finding a system where they do most of that work for you. Some of the best income generators I have used are sites like Data Entry Pro. This one was rather costly for the $99.95, however the income I earned far exceeded my investment. Plus it is great for educating new people on ad copy and marketing methods. My first two week check from one form I filled out was close to $3200.00. Considering they tell you what to put in the forms (a no-brainer), this is a fantastic start for new people and you can start earning money the minute you get your membership.

Another good one to check out is Hometypers. Same basic thing, but two dollars less. Worth it? Yes. Both sites do not depend on sales to generate your income, they pay you per click through to their sites. These companies pay for the advertising, you type the ads in on the forms for them. These two systems tell you what to fill in to get the desired click-through ratio that pays, so no guessing games. Simple and you can start small or work with as many webmasters as you want. What is the difference between the two sites? One has more companies in which to choose from . . . more sources of income. Neither has the bothersome ad emails and neither contain any monthly fees for access to their sources or software.

If you are a little more experienced with web building and affiliate marketing, but are frustrated with your results, some sites that will help you are ABestWeb for tons of free advice, and the one thing I’ve always known gets results . . . Press Releases. If you are not sure how to write one or the dozens of places that you can submit them, try Press Equalizer. You can follow their template and submit right from their site.

With these tools, there is no reason why you should remain frustrated or spending more than what you earn, to get the results you want. Making pennies while you’re spending dollars does not make any cents, (No that’s not a typo).

One last tip . . . whatever you decide to do or which direction you take to begin making your first dollar, always remember to keep record of all your contacts. Building your circle of influence and turning your contacts into friends is probably the one most valuable asset you will have. You can begin offering a split of commissions for any product or service that you sell by negotiating joint ventures. If you need to make money sooner than later, finding a program with everything already set up for you can help you with the revenue you need to survive, while you are learning and depending on your goals, it may be all you need.
